RAPE INVESTIGATION: AN OVERVIEW AND
PERSPECTIVE ON ITS INVESTIGATION
April 8-9, 2009
A two-day seminar for
law enforcement personnel who investigate complaints of rape and who wish a basic
update on the topic. Instruction will focus on: (1) what rape is; (2) categories
of rape; (3) initial and follow-up investigation; (4) interviewing victims, witnesses
and suspects; (5) identifying false reports; (6) interviewing and interrogating suspects;
(7) serial rapists; (8) collecting evidence; (9) documentation; (10) working with
the prosecutor; (11) crisis centers; and (12) coordinating other agencies to help
solve rape cases.
DATE/LOCATION/TIME: Seminar will be conducted April
8-9, 2009 at the Essex County College Police Academy, 250 Grove Avenue, Cedar Grove,
New Jersey. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.daily.
FEE:
$295 per person . Agencies enrolling three or more personnel in this program are
entitled to claim a 15% team discount.
