PROPERTY/EVIDENCE ROOM TECHNICIANS' SEMINAR
December 18-19, 2008
A seminar designed to enable personnel who serve as evidence technicians within property rooms to design, implement, and maintain a property and evidence control system. During the two days of instruction, topics to be covered include: (1) job of the evidence technician; (2) forms as data gathering tools; (3) chain of custody; (4) packaging and submission; (5) access and security to the property/evidence room; (6) computerized tracking and bar-coding; (7) storage locations: general and specific; (9) notifications; (10) inspections, audits, and inventories; (11) temporary release; and (12) final disposition and destruction of stored case evidence.

LETTER OF VIRGINIA IN-SERVICE TRAINING CREDIT TRANSFER. This program is being hosted by the Richmond Police Training Academy. Individuals interested in receiving transfer of training credit should contact Lt. William Meadows at (804) 646-6121.

DATE/LOCATION/TIME: Seminar will be conducted December 18-19, 2008 at the Richmond Police Training Academy, 1202 West Graham Road in Richmond, Virginia. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m..each day.

FEE: $295 per person. Agencies enrolling three or more personnel in this program may claim a 15% team discount.
