LEARN
HOW A SUSPECT'S BODY LANGUAGE MIGHT REVEAL AN ATTEMPT TO EVADE ANSWERING QUESTIONS
OR TO BE HONEST IN RESPONSES. PLAN TO ATTEND THIS TWO-DAY BODY LANGUAGE SEMINAR ON
NOVEMBER 6-7, 2008 AT THE HALLANDALE BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT IN HALLANDALE BEACH,
FLORIDA.....
ASSESSING DECEPTION OR HONESTY THROUGH OBSERVATION OF A SUSPECT'S
BODY LANGUAGE
November 6-7, 2008
Under stressful questioning, individuals
often reveal involuntary behaviors that a perceptive interrogator can use to assess
deceptive responses as opposed to honest ones. This program will provide instruction
and demonstrations to give participants skills to read behavioral signals of tempo,
posture, breathing, gestures and other bodily movements that cannot be consciously
controlled. Participants will learn how to improve their perception skills to recognize
attitudes and assess deception and resistance. Topics include: (1) how messages are
transmitted through physical as well as verbal means; (2) why body reactions often
mean more than just what is said; (3) changes in behavior often forecast shifts in
attitudes of the person being interviewed; (4) becoming adept in detecting deception;
and (5) limitations of body language as cues to deception or indications of honesty.
